Over many years there has been much activity in and around the Cadia Valley and Forest Reefs. From its earliest days of mineral discoveries and development, the Cadia district has been home to many. Some of the stories share in these memories depict the ever changing scene that has been the life of the Cadia district.
We hope the material collected to form this living record will shed some light on the past history, touched no doubt with elements of nostalgia, grief and mirth. This book provides an insight into the people who worked the mines the early days through to the farms of the post war years, right up to and including the current stages of development.
