The Society has a series of historical information sheets such as Walking Tours of Bathurst, Army Camp, Cox's Road, Ben Hall's Raid on Bathurst, etc. They also stock a selection of local history books.
The four day event will be held in four pavilions at the Bathurst Showground, Sydney Road. This WW2 Exhibition will consist of “Snapshots of World War 2” - 600 enlarged photos of soldiers in action, battlefields, training, the home front, Bathurst Army Camp, etc.
Each month a muster is organised at the Uniting Church Activities Hall with different speakers and different topics each month. Participants are invited to bring a plate to share for supper afterwards and a gold coin donation to assist in costs. Check out the next muster or search on previous musters for information.
The Bathurst District Historical Society has been run by volunteers since it began in 1947. Together we manage the Historical Museum and Bookshop, Research Rooms, Old Government Cottage with its heritage garden and over 23000 items in our collection.
