The Story of King's Parade

$15.00

From Market Place to City Centre

The story of King’s Parade is a story of Bathurst’s community defining its history. It starts from the earliest days, when, what is now King’s Parade was part of “The Square” - an area designated by the planners as the centre of the city to be. When the Anglican Cathedral was built in the centre of “The Square” a rectangular area bordered by William, Russell, George and Church Streets became known as “Market Square” with an impressive, though not very successful, Market Building on the corner of George and Russell Streets.

Includes diagrams, sketches and photographs.
