The Story of World War II Prisoners of War from the Bathurst Area
190 pages. This volume relates to the history of the 2/19 and 2/20 Battalions, 8th Division, 2 AIF. That history vividly remembered here by members of the Battalion, in particular Peter Wellington, Joe Pickup, Jim Wright, Noel Harvey, and the family of the late Jack Wardman. All were prisoners of war and their stories cover training days in Malaya and some to the jungles of Burma and Thailand. Many previously unpublished photographs.
