JJ Leahy, known as the “Back Country Baron”, pioneered the use of aircraft in Australia’s more remote pastoral regions. IN this book Gerard Leahy, JJ’s youngest son, relates how JJ moved from horses, to cars, then aircraft to visit his 50 plus properties in New South Wales and Queensland. It includes the unusual story of the Vauxhall 30/98 OE221 purchased from the Vauxhall Works in Luton, England in 1925.
