A book by Sarah Swift that showcases 75 significant objects from the Society's collection, chosen for their stories and community connection, marking the Society's 75th anniversary, celebrated in 2022 and 2023, with the book highlighting local history and earning Swift a heritage award.

The Bathurst District Historical Society was officially formed in 1947. Since then, the Society has acquired a collection that is home to over 23,000 photographs and artefacts that tell the history of Bathurst. To celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Bathurst District Historical Society, volunteer Sarah Swift showcases selected 'treasures' within the collection, chosen not necessarily for their aesthetic beauty or monetary value but for the stories they afford and the social connection they have to the community.
