What breadth of experience could lead to such recognition, and what path followed?
From extensive research, Michael Webb has uncovered a fascinating historical account of travel spanning eight countries before settling in Australia, initially managing the mine at Cadia outside Orange in 1862. With the partial closure of the Cadia mine, Holman managed the copper mine for Western Mining company near Guyong and inspected mines at Burrowa, now Boorowa, Trunkey Creek and Currawang.
