Robin McLachlan – “Headline Bathurst” A fascinating talk that will focus on key moments in Bathurst’s history that changed Australia, if not the world. The four events will be: Establishing the first gazetted location in inland Australia (1815); announcing the discovery of gold (1851); the day "Jack the Ripper" came to tea (1892); and the birth of a democratically elected Australia Senate (1896).
